Do you need to meet us?

We’re happy to arrange to meet up before your wedding if you feel you would like to. However, sometimes we know this isn’t possible because of time or distance restraints. In these circumstances, a phone call or a Skype meeting works just as well.

We’d love to book! How do we proceed?

After we meet, speak on the phone or exchange emails and you decide you want us to photograph your wedding, we will send you a wedding agreement, and we require usually £395 deposit, to secure the date. The balance is due at least 14 days before the wedding.

Do you need to see the venue?

It’s highly unlikely we’ll see the venue exactly a year before the wedding, so the weather and light are bound to be vastly different on the day. Usually, what we like to do is arrive at the venue before coverage starts and explore the grounds and choose the best areas for portraits and group shots. We also take this time to take some wide external shots of the venue, so you have the full story in the final edit.

Do you always shoot together?

For bigger more complex weddings we recommend two photographers, then we would shoot together or one of us would take a second shooter if we are booked for another wedding that day. For smaller weddings usually one photographer is enough. There is an extra charge for a second photographer.

Do you do group shots?

We truly believe that group shots have an important part to play in a wedding. We recommend no more than ten to twelve groups. This should cover all the bases.

Do you offer albums?

We love to make books! We offer many products like elegant boxes with prints, Classic Albums or Storybook Albums. Each one is designed by us and custom made for our couples. You can also order extra smaller books for your parents as well as custom boxes to protect and display your albums.

Will there be an online gallery for our friends and family to see?

Absolutely. As soon as the images have been developed (this should happen within 14 days after the wedding) we’ll email you a link to a password protected online gallery where friends and family can purchase images if they wish.

Can we or our family and friends order prints from you?

Of course. In your photo gallery there is an option to order prints. After the wedding we send you an additional email to be forwarded to your friends and family with instructions how to order prints.

Are images retouched?

They are all colour corrected and correctly exposed. We are trying to keep everything natural, however we also do some light skin retouching and occasionally removing some details and cropping.

When we receive our pictures?

Usually the on-line gallery is ready 21 days after the wedding. Then we have 90 days after your selection to have your pictures, prints and albums ready. We can send you your albums and prints for a small fee or you can pick it up from us.

How long do you archive your images for?

We archive your images for two years after the wedding. Please ensure that as soon as you receive the images from us, you copy the files to an external hard drive so you have a backup.

What equipment do you use and do you have a backup?

We shoot on professional Canon cameras and lenses. We always carry a backup camera, as well as back up batteries etc.

Are you insured?

Yes! We’re fully insured for both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.

Can we change the wedding package after booking?

You can always upgrade you package after booking, however you cannot downgrade it.

Can we change the wedding/shoot date after booking?

We plan our professional and personal life around wedding/shoot dates. On a rare occasion, when something goes wrong and you have to change the wedding/shoot date, we are here to help. If we are available on the new date we can shoot it but there will be £150 fee to cover our expenses and to rebook everything for the new date.

What if you fall sick?

This has never happened to us. However, we know that we can’t promise that it never will. There are three of us so it would be just a matter of getting a second shooter if this necessary. Although this is very unlikely, please be assured that should we be unable to attend the wedding, we have a large network of highly capable wedding photographer colleagues who could step in, and we would do everything in our power to find a replacement that you would be fully satisfied with.

Where do you work?

Although we are based in Glasgow, Scotland we’re happy to travel to weddings, either within the UK or beyond it. We do have to charge for travel if your wedding is further than 50 miles from Glasgow. With regard to destination weddings, flights, travel and accommodation costs will need to be covered.

Do you cover civil partnerships?

We love shooting civil partnerships so please don’t hesitate to get in touch regarding yours!

How many images will I get?

From Full Day packages you will get 400 images and from Half day packages 250. However, for a small fee we offer all the pictures from the day and this will range from around 600-800 images from Full Day and 400-600 from Half Day packages. All these images will be available for you on-line just after the wedding even if you not decide to get all of them on USB.

Do you give images in colour or B&W?

Some photographs work in colour and some work best in black and white. This can be because of the artificial light, background, skin tone, composition or they are simply a b&w version of a similar photo in colour. We will make these creative decisions during post production. You’ll probably receive a mix of roughly 30% black and white, and 70% colour. Also bear in mind that for example indoor tungsten lighting can be terribly unflattering to skin colour that’s why some type of pictures should be b&w. We can change up to 10 images into colour upon your request.

Will you require food and drink on the day?

For any Full Day wedding coverage, we will require some food and drink. We certainly don’t expect the same meal as your guests but something warm and filling would be fantastic.

We are only having a small service and don’t really want all day or half a day coverage.

That’s fine! If you want something slightly different then just get in touch and we can try sort something out! For example, we shoot a lot of intimate beautiful weddings at The Lodge on Loch Goil with very small number of guests.
